pdfToolbox can be installed as a standalone and a plug-in to Acrobat, while PitStop is only available as a plug-in. I would argue that building a Process Plan in pdfToolbox is less daunting that an ActionList in PitStop, but that comes down to experience I guess. Again in the desktop version pdfToolbox offers that as Switchboard Actions and ProcessPlans. This illustrator like functionality is further completed with GlobalActions and ActionLists which Michael described and allow apply changes to an entire page or a document. That is great for last minute corrections. You select an element and you can change it. Enfocus PitStop has a point and click approach. The Plug-in/Desktop products follow a somewhat different philosophy. My answer won’t be 100% unbiased either, but abc’s question and some of Michael comments are a good starting point. Since the issue is within Acrobat itself, we suggest that you report this bug directly to Adobe via their forum, their support chat or via their report a bug page. Disable “Open documents as new tabs in the same window (requires restart)”.If the “Open documents as new tabs in the same window (requires restart)” preference is already enabled: Enable “Open documents as new tabs in the same window (requires restart)”.If the “Open documents as new tabs in the same window (requires restart)” preference is not enabled yet: Open the general category of the Preferences. Please enable “Open documents as new tabs in the same window” to avoid the issue until Adobe permanently fixes it in Acrobat. The issue only happens when the Acrobat setting “Open documents as new tabs in the same window” is disabled. The last paragraph is the buck-passerĪ recent update to Adobe Acrobat DC is causing the toolbars for installed plug-ins to disappear, including PitStop Pro toolbars. This is the advice from Enfocus Support page. Unfortunately Enfocus throw it back at Adobe.
